STATE BOARD OF BARBER EXAMINERS

The current Barbers' Law requires 1500 hours of training and instruction in a Licensed Barber College. Training is given to students during their enrollment on a clock hour basis. Based on the maximum amount of clock hours one can earn during any one week, 38 hours, the 1500 hours of instruction will take approximately 10 months to complete. Part time classes would increase the number of months of training necessary to accumulate 1500 hours. Visit the Arkansas State Board of Barber Examiners for further information.

STUDENT SUCCESS IS OUR MISSION
Applicants must be of good moral character and temperate habits.
Applicants must be sixteen and one-half (16 1/2) years of age or older.
Applicants must have an equivalent of an 8th grade education.
Applicants who have a conviction for a felony must go before the Arkansas State Barber Board and receive approval before begining classes.

Once an applicant has been accepted and all required forms completed, the student may begin training on the following schedule :
Full time classes, 38 hours per week, are scheduled from 12:00 - 6:00 on Mondays with no lunch break, andTuesday-Friday from 9:00 - 5:30 with 1/2 hour for lunch.
Part time students that carry less than 22 hours per week will be subject to different charges and special schedules must be arranged with the college Director.

CROSSOVER & TEACHERS PROGRAMS

Cosmetology Crossover Students will complete 600 hours in the college. Part-time or Full-time We are not here to change the stylist in you, we are here to help build a strong foundation in clipper cutting for Fades, Tappers and Flattops, and we also teach you everything about Shaving faces and necks.

Teachers will complete all 600 hours in the college. We teach you how to breakdown what you know so that you can teach it. We work with you in the classroom by teaching how to do an outlines. Then we give you daily tasks running the floor and college, to get you ready to become a TEACHER or even one day a COLLEGE OWNER.
